Fast Divorce- How Do I Get One?

Posted by Vincent C. DeLuca | Oct 13, 2020 | 0 Comments

If you are married and wish to obtain a fast and inexpensive divorce, you need to know how to get one. The best way to get a fast divorce would be for you and your spouse to engage the services of an agreed upon mediator prior to either of you filing any paperwork with the courts. Provided that you and your spouse get along relatively well and the legal issues involved in your case are not terribly complicated it is quite conceivable the two of you will be able to obtain a divorce relatively quickly and inexpensively.

During the divorce mediation process the mediator spends time with both of you and assists in crafting a comprehensive marital settlement agreement which will govern the terms of your divorce. Typically, a qualified mediator is able to resolve simple cases at the conclusion of two or three mediation sessions. Subsequent to the conclusion of the mediation and if the parties have come to an agreement as to all relevant terms the parties then will be in a position to process what is called an uncontested divorce on an expedited basis. It is not terribly uncommon for a divorce to be concluded within 60 days provided everyone cooperates and agrees in all issues relatively quickly.
