Christian J. Wagner

Christian Wagner practices matrimonial and family law at Villani & DeLuca. He began his legal career as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Albert J. Rescinio, J.S.C., in the Family Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. During his clerkship, Christian gained comprehensive, hands-on experience in family law, assisting in the drafting of orders, preparing bench memoranda, and conducting extensive legal research. He observed and assisted in trials, motion hearings, and settlement conferences on a daily basis, which provided him with a practical understanding of courtroom dynamics, case strategy, and judicial decision-making. Christian also mediated high-conflict disputes involving custody, child support, and parenting time. Mr. Wagner earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law while working full-time and he also received an Intellectual Property Certificate. Prior to his legal career, he spent over a decade in the music and entertainment industry serving in a number of roles including director of marketing, artist manager, publicist, and digital content creation while also navigating complex interpersonal dynamics with artists that often mirrored family relationships. This unique background, coupled with his judicial training, allows him to approach matrimonial and family matters with both legal precision and practical insight.
